Our History

Our school is associated with Kim’s United Taekwondo-Karate Centers. Kim’s Taekwon-Do was founded by Great Grandmaster Hong Sik Kim in 1969 and now has over 50 schools in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, Montana, Hawaii, Colorado and Texas. Grandmaster Hong Sik Kim passed away on February 16th, 2020. Today, instructors and students continue his legacy through the practice of traditional taekwondo.

We opened in 1983, and our school is one of the longest standing martial arts schools west of Portland.
